I AM BLOWN AWAY! This is the BEST performing notebook I have ever purchased! Having been a PC user since I received my first computer at the age of 12, I was very hesitant about making the transition. Since then, I've owned several desktops, 3 netbooks, and 2 laptops. The great news for PC users is that you can dual boot your MacBook Pro with both Windows and Mac OSX! -Talk about having the best of both worlds!
Why did I purchase a Macbook Pro? I am a semi-professional photographer working for a local magazine and needed to buy a notebook that possessed the best performing features. The colors look so much more vivid and stunning compared to the other notebooks I own. Of the three sizes (13", 15", & 17"), the 13" was not only more affordable at 4GB of RAM & 250GB of storage, but it was also a lot more portable. It can fit into my larger purses with ease.
My Favourite features:
1.Brilliant graphics and display
2.Back-lit keyboard.
3.Super fast start up and shut down
4.Amazing battery life compared to other notebooks. I get about 4-5 hrs with continual use.
5.Doesn't get too hot you can fry eggs on it or your legs would burn.
6.Slim Design and decent portable weight
Least Favourite features that are all minor and probably even not worth mentioning:
1.Sharp edges near the wrist kind of hurt after a while
2.USBs are on the left side only. Sort of sucks when you use a wired mouse and you're right-handed.
3.I keep forgetting to "Eject" my devices from the desktop before yanking them out.
4.It doesn't work intuitively straight out of the box. You have to customize your MacBook. For example, there was no right click on the track pad, I had to go fiddle with the settings and set it to where when I clicked on the right side of the track pad, it would act like a right click. I also had to expand the Browsers and hide the Dock in order for it to fit the screen. The Dock would pop out when I moused over the bottom of the screen.
5.Windows to a program go behind the current window you are working on instead of automatically on the dock. I'd have to minimize a window and put it on the dock-otherwise I'd have to close the forward window to get to the previous one.
Overall, I am so impressed by Apple, I am going to buy the desktop as well. Performance and spot-on features for photography shrink every flaw out of vision. This baby is WORTH IT ALL and a box of chocolates!
