Smile Kid

I've been listening to this album for the past couple of days and let me just say that it's keeping my days bright! The album title is so befitting as it is filled with positive energy and definitely brings a smile to my face. Sometimes acoustic versions of songs are a hit and miss, but the acoustics of Heaven Can Wait and She Takes Me High has such an upbeat guitar tune! I have to say that my favourite song in the album is "We'll Be A Dream" featuring Demi Lovato. I really love the sweet music box intro in that song! Ooooh and for those loving In-N-Out, there is a silly song called,"In-N-Out (Animal Style). Hahaha!

Another pretty great upbeat album is Train's "Save Me San Francisco". Save Me San Francisco is a bit more lovey dovey.

Snow Leopard Worth the Upgrade?

It doesn't cost very much to begin with, but I already know one person with a fairly new Macbook Pro that is having problems installing it.

What are the key differences in features?

I did the Snow Leopard upgrade on the day it was released. I've had it a week now. There wasn't any big, "Wow, that's great!" type of things. Some third party software doesn't work now. Forklift, the app I use for FTP stopped working, but I found a quick fix for that. Also, my third party screensavers stopped working.

However, the reason I did the upgrade is I learned a long time ago that it's easier to do every upgrade that comes along, rather than wait until the next one. It's easier and cheaper to just get all. Otherwise, it puts you in a different category to upgrade the next time a good one comes up. BEcause then you became a "well, of you have that version, then you have to blah blah blah".

I believe the answer is yes. Like some people already said, it's largely a superficial set of changes, nothing big. But the big thing, like someone already said, is that it'll make your computer faster and lighter. Meaning everything will go just a little quicker! It's not a huge change, but you'll notice it.

Plus, for Leopard users, it's only $30. Not too bad, as it's almost like adding a little bit more RAM and HD space for free.

Yep, let's just pretend if there was a major vulnerability, Microsoft wouldn't go through skype or the like to advertise it.

Apple 13.3 MacBook Pro Notebook Computer (Aluminum Unibody) Z0GL-0001 Notebook

I AM BLOWN AWAY! This is the BEST performing notebook I have ever purchased! Having been a PC user since I received my first computer at the age of 12, I was very hesitant about making the transition. Since then, I've owned several desktops, 3 netbooks, and 2 laptops. The great news for PC users is that you can dual boot your MacBook Pro with both Windows and Mac OSX! -Talk about having the best of both worlds!

Why did I purchase a Macbook Pro? I am a semi-professional photographer working for a local magazine and needed to buy a notebook that possessed the best performing features. The colors look so much more vivid and stunning compared to the other notebooks I own. Of the three sizes (13", 15", & 17"), the 13" was not only more affordable at 4GB of RAM & 250GB of storage, but it was also a lot more portable. It can fit into my larger purses with ease.

My Favourite features:
1.Brilliant graphics and display
2.Back-lit keyboard.
3.Super fast start up and shut down
4.Amazing battery life compared to other notebooks. I get about 4-5 hrs with continual use.
5.Doesn't get too hot you can fry eggs on it or your legs would burn.
6.Slim Design and decent portable weight

Least Favourite features that are all minor and probably even not worth mentioning:
1.Sharp edges near the wrist kind of hurt after a while
2.USBs are on the left side only. Sort of sucks when you use a wired mouse and you're right-handed.
3.I keep forgetting to "Eject" my devices from the desktop before yanking them out.
4.It doesn't work intuitively straight out of the box. You have to customize your MacBook. For example, there was no right click on the track pad, I had to go fiddle with the settings and set it to where when I clicked on the right side of the track pad, it would act like a right click. I also had to expand the Browsers and hide the Dock in order for it to fit the screen. The Dock would pop out when I moused over the bottom of the screen.
5.Windows to a program go behind the current window you are working on instead of automatically on the dock. I'd have to minimize a window and put it on the dock-otherwise I'd have to close the forward window to get to the previous one.

Overall, I am so impressed by Apple, I am going to buy the desktop as well. Performance and spot-on features for photography shrink every flaw out of vision. This baby is WORTH IT ALL and a box of chocolates!

Rise of Atlantis for Windows

If you like Bejeweled, you will probably enjoy playing this game as well. You travel through Phoenicia, Babylon, Egypt, Carthage, Greece, Troy, and Rome releasing the puzzle pieces and bonus items (bombs, hearts/lves, tile swap, time extender, and lightning/zap) before time runs out. There are 3 journeys that get more and more difficult.

I downloaded a free version on my laptop and had my mother give it a try. She loved it so much I bought it on Amazon and installed it on the Asus netbooks. Amazon allows the game to be installed on more than one computer, which is fantastic!

Puzzle Quest is a similar version of this for the Nintendo DS.

This is a great game and definitely worth the purchase.

ASUS Eee PC 1000HA (884840338918) Netbook

There are a number of reasons why I wanted to get this little beast of a machine and really I cannot praise this thing enough. "Should I just get a full-sized laptop instead?" was my main question.

Here were my reasons for choosing this:

1. Hubby just needed to go online
2. Compact Size (fits in my purse)
3. Decided to get 10 inch just in case the 8 inch was too small for a man to type.
4. Battery life lasts longer than most laptops (this is about 3 1/2 hrs on high performance) 6-cell battery.
5. Windows XP (prefer OS I'm familiar with)
6. 160 GB HDD (very adequate storage space)
7. 1GB RAM
8. Asus Eee PC 1000H series was rated best netbook from Cnet in a 2008 article
9. Price is extremely affordable.

Cons: The shift key on the right took a while to get used to because it is farther away than a standard keyboard. All other issues are very minor.

Remember this uses wireless G so if you have a wireless N router, it will not work.

I honestly don't miss not having a disc drive because most software/drivers from products you can download from the manufacturer's site. It's also best to download software direct because it includes the latest firmwares and fixes anyways.

Recent Issue: Sound began to stutter. I ran spyware and AVG in safe mode then restored the netbook to an earlier time. I still had the same problem. Finally I restored the netbook to Factory Settings by pressing F9 upon start up. It was fast and easy. Sound stutter is no longer there.

What are your plans for Spring Break?

Are you going buck wild, relax, or study?

Any traveling plans? Most of my friends head down to Mexico.

We normally visit my in-laws at their place by Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral, but this year the money isn't there for a trip, and it's killing me to stay home! We don't do the amusement parks or anything anymore, we just hang out.

What kind of food do you eat or make with Nutella?

For V-day we'll be using a hazelnut chocolate spread (not Nutella, but close) and I'd like some creative ideas on what to make for my 3 year old.

If you're having a craving, eating it on a spoon with a glass of milk isn't bad. Yikes!

It's also really good on an english muffin, which is much healthier.

How do I get rid of malware using Spybot

Or are there any other free programs out there that can assist me?

I ran AVG free and it did not detect anything. I ran Spybot and it came up with a few instances of trojans and malware. But every time I fix the problems they just return.

Alright folks. I ran both Adaware and Spybot and I wasn't able to get rid of the Virtumonde trojan. Fortunately, I was able to find a fix after googling about it:http://forums.techguy.org/malware-removal-hijackthis-logs/602298-virtumonde-fix.html

I ran another scan and everything appears to be well. ^__^

Thank you all for your help. I appreciate it!
