Pavilion 14.1" dv4t Entertainment PC with Intel- R Pentium- R Processor T4300 - 2.1 GHz; 500GB HD; 2GB Memory

I've owned my HP dv4t for almost two months now and I am a rather happy camper. I call it a "poor man's macbook," because at 14" diagonal, with a great screen, and now Windows 7, I get so much oft what I would have wanted from a Macbook, but at about six hunded dollars less.

Unlike my older workhorse, I love the quick response and lightweight form of a computer I can work on for hours without plugging it in, then close the lid, shove it in my bag, and go off. When I open it again-- I'm back to work. Maybe that's a simple pleasure to you, but the quick response time is huge to me.

I'd read much in reviews about two flaws with this model, and they are absolutely true: The finish on the glossy plastic casing is forever smudged. By day two, I was seeing fingerprints and blotches which I am now tired of trying to wipe away. The thing has an unfortunate finish. Pretty, but not practical.

The other is the touchpad mouse, which is often doing things I didn't want ti to. It's at times too sensitive, other times not sensitive enough. It hasn't been a huge problem, but it is not ideal.

This is a smart computer that does a lot, and is generally a real pleasure to work with. So glad i didn't get a Netbook.
