Happy JULY 4th!!!

im saying it in advance since i doubt too many ppl will actually be here..

just was curious what everyones plans are..

and if i can come?
Zia - I will be drinking lots of beer and watching the guys try not to explode any body parts off in the dark.... you are welcome to join us in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia.
OMG.. do you guys have a drunken war that i dont know about?!
You can absolutely come.
Zia - it is the guys vs. fireworks...it is usually pretty entertaining....
pshhhh men and their NEEED to blow things up.. how pedestrian... i'd rather curl up with a good book infront of the fire.

... did i just sound like a women right there?

dude... all of our red/white/blue avatars loooks kinda cool!
I like all the red white and blue avs too....

Nikki....red white and blue....get with the program, babe.
Hi everyone! Looooong road trip up to sac. My son is turning 2 on the 8th so we're driving up to celebrate the holiday and his birthday next week with my in-laws. Happy early 4th of July everyone!
Have a safe trip Anabel!!
Thank you, I will! =) btdubs.... if i get bored in sacramento i'm hightailing it over to West Virginia!!!
I think I'll just set sh*t on fire all weekend. From the foothills the plumes of smoke rising from the suburbs is quite insprining.
Anabel, as a former resident of the Sacramento area I empathize with the unbearable heat you will have to endure while there.
Everyone is welcome to join us in WV - we are going to have plenty of food and beer to go round.
oh....my....god Patrick! I heard it was like 104 the other day!! ahh. And my in-laws are really stingy about putting the AC on, too! lol
Anabel, 104 is not at all unusual for Sacto this time of year. Unless the delta breeze picks up in the evening it may not go much below the middle 80's at night, or even 90.

I have fond memories of escaping to the foothills (where it was a much cooler 95) and watching Sacto burn on the 4th. Good times.
I'm probably never gonna complain about san diego weather again after spending 10 days there!
10 days? Oof... well, find cool things to do! Malls are popular in weather like that. And don't try to walk on asphalt in bare feet... it's not a good idea...
I'll probably hide under a car. After setting the tire fire in the neighbor's yard. Oh wait, the one from *last* year is still burning.

Maybe I'll just do the car thing.
My dad and I are going to head to the beach. Everyone around here goes to Ocean Shores to blow crap up. Really cool to watch hundreds of people lighting off fireworks.

Then we went a little more that we did last time. 'Cause it will be my last 4th with him probably for a little bit. We spent about three times as much on fireworks, and got about half as much as we usually do. They are freakin loud. Still... wish I was one of those guys who just drop a couple thousand at the Indian reservations and come out lighting them all day non stop only to discover you have plenty left over at the end of the night.
man i HATE the fact that everyone is having So many seperate BBQs.... i dont see why everyone cant organize and throw one SINGLE BBQ... so i dont have to DRIVE around all day!!

BC after all.... isn't 4th of July REALLY about what I want?!
...I'll send you my left shoe
I'll be spending the day with my friends. It just happens that we're also celebrating my friend's birthday, so I'm sure it'll be a blast. Details aren't quite clear yet, so it's possible that no fireworks will be involved. We'll be dining at a restaurant so not to worry Zia, we're not doing a BBQ like everyone else...not this time at least!

Although, the day after the 4th we're going to a once-a-month event called BEEFSTEAK Sunday at a restaurant called Bacaro LA. It's awesome!! For those that ever visit Los Angeles for the first sunday of each month or live around the area, you should check this place out. On the first Sunday of every month, they have all-you-can-eat beefsteak (delicious steak bites over yummy bread bites), garlic fries, and all-you-can-drink red wine, white wine, and beer. This will be my 4th time going, but I'm still pretty excited about it!
My boys, a few friends of theirs and myself are heading to Chinatown for the day and then out to Universal Studios to watch some fireworks.
