The Flak Over Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson's friends, family, and ex have come out in support of her new size, with Carmen Electra agreeing with my thoughts that it's not so much that she's heavy, but wearing an ill-advised outfit. Does it even really matter?

I agree that outfit is not flattering at all... no idea who picked that for her. I also think her size and all this fuss over it is completely redic.
What Bruce said!
I wish I was as "fat" as Jessica Simpson. I also wish I had the money she does to fire whatever stylist put that outfit on her then let her go on stage thinking she looked good.

Seriously. People need to lay off a lot of these famous people. Everybody had flaws with their bodies - even famous people. Not only is it detrimental to who ever it is that is being downgraded - it also skews what little girls and boys think is acceptable in terms of size in the "real world".

The people who are the ones criticizing are probably big as hippos with hairlips and lazy eyes. They need to back off and and put down the oreos.
I like that Raven-Symone has come out and embraced her own larger size, saying she thinks she's beautiful. Being that most of her fans are young girls, I think that's great.
Poor Jessica. If she needs some cheering up I'll offer myself as comic relief.
at least she has romo?
Well put, Nadia.
Wow...all this media coverage over a hideous outfit....these ppl need to stfu. I agree with Nadia completely on this!
My question is, if Jessica Simpson were a MAN, would we even be having this conversation?

(By "we" I don't mean to bash any Sazzers...just "we" as a society.)
If Jessica Simpson were a man I'd switch teams...
The whole media storm over Jessica is ridiculous. But that is a moot point.

Everyone likes talking about celebrities. It sells magazines. So we will always find something.
I think celebrities get way more press than they deserve a lot of the times. I mean..I know people who gain weight and lose weight..but it doesn't make it to the press.
Sounds like a slow news day to me. It's also not fair - if I put on 5-10 pounds (as I do from time to time, before losing it again), no one would DARE to post pictures of me and spread them around to people who "liked" me, asking if I looked fat. Plus, if there were pictures of me next to anyone like Jessica Simpson, it would show how fat she is not!
