Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton play secretaries that exact their revenge on their boss that takes advantage of them and doesn't always treat them very humanely. I don't think I'll ever look at the pink packets of Sweet and Low the same way again, after the women dream of switching out the "Skinny and Sweet" for rat poison.
It was a definitely a movie of its time, and I'm wondering if it would be just as poignant today. I'm sure women are still mistreated in the workplace, but it's probably not as widespread, at least I hope it's not. I saw this movie at just the right age to let me know I never wanted to be treated like that.
