This movie is one of my all time favorite and I have watched it at least 15 times. It is about a regular average joe trying to live his life while trying to find a source to rely on to let himself "go" and release all of his troubles at work. Over time, the main character becomes the founder of a fight club that goes out of hand and eventually becomes an entire organization that cries for freedom and the release from society's bindings. However there is a very interesting twist to the story that I will not reveal because it would spoil the entire movie.

Make sure you watch this movie because the movie address to certain real life issues that people face in their lives, and at the same time it reveals how the main character deals with the situations differently. This is a movie that is not worth to be missed out on. However, in the beginning it may get a bit dull but bear through it because it gets very very interesting in the end.

I really didn't know what to expect before seeing this movie. Ew, the part when Brad's character takes the liposuction fat from the hospital's dumpster and then uses it, so disgusting. I was clueless to the twist in the movie until close to the end. I really respected Edward Norton as an actor after this movie, he is real true. It was really a gritty and dirty movie, but exciting. You will get to see Brad shirtless, which is always a plus, because he is still fairly young in it. :) It may just inspire you to let the aggressive side of you out a little.

There are already 11 reviews written regarding Fight Club the film. Most are intelligently proposed and well written, it is difficult to think of things to add that won't wind up being cast out with the bath water. So I am not going to try.

First, I will tell you that you don't have to see this film. No one has to do a thing they don't feel like doing. SO here it is, let me try and short sell you on this film and peak your desire. For those that like taught half naked men there is some of that, there is also fighting, metaphors, twists, turns, there is a love story (allbeit a molitov cocktail of hell love story but a love story), and there is violent corporate destruction.

And then there's the soap making. Everyone leaves out the soap, selling back liposuctioned fat rendered soap to high end ladies and men at their high end department stores. Soap. This movie is about soap, Do you remember the blanket party scene in Full Metal Jacket, that's the kind of soap movie this is, for 2 hours. If you aren't down to watch the film now don't worry about it. You don't need to watch it.

What else is there to say about Fight Club. This is a great movie, and if you haven't seen it. You are a dope that probably hasn't seen Goonies either. Get off your ass and watch it. This has one of the classic movie plot twists and on top of that has some great fight scenes and a subtext of the destruction of society as we know it that is hard to not get on board with.

Honestly one of the best movies that was made in the 90's and there are a lot of decent movies to pick from in that decade. Do not miss this movie.

"It's only after we've lost everything that we are free to do anything".

This film is absolutely BRILLIANT! I love brilliant films, you know. I especially love the ones that really make you think, and make you open your eyes to the world around you. Even if this film is absolutely crazy and insane... it's the insanity that makes it brilliant!

I've recently realized how much I adore films with Brad Pitt in it (even though I am not a fan of Brad Pitt himself). I've also always had a thing for films that Edward Norton plays in... because he is a god in my eyes! Sheeeesh, in every film I see him in he is brilliant! Put Edward Norton and Brad Pitt together... and you've got Fight Club!

I actually came to fall in love with this film because my ex said I HAAADDDD to see it. When I heard the name, "Fight Club", it just didn't tickle my fancy. But I loved watching films with him so when I saw it at the Pawn Shoppe I decided to get it. What was I loosing? A dollar and fifty cents? I'd live.

ALHDSJHFASAS!!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEDDDD it! It is in one of my top three favourite films now and all I could say was "WOW!!!!" after the film. Actually, I couldn't say anything... it was a lot to take in at first. But sense I watched it that first time... I've watched it a billion times more! I don't think it is POSSIBLE to love this film anymore than I do already...!!!!

I would tell you what it is about, but I do not want to spoil the film! Because I know SOMEHOW I will ruin it and you'll hate me! So... with that said... go rent it, buy it, borrow it.. WHATEVER! JUST GO SEE THIS FILM! (: It'll keep you guessing until the end!

I think the best part of this film is all the memorable quotes. There is just SO many it is hard to choose my favourite... In the end the one at the beginning of this review has to be my favourite. But there is so many others I could choose from! Seriously... there is so many good ones!

If you don't love this film, you can slap me. But if you don't love this film I also have the right to slap you back, because that would be just ridiculous to not love this film!

Possibly the best movie made in the 1990s, "Fight Club" is a brilliantly subversive little picture all dressed up and promoted as a standard action film. The fact that visionary director David Fincher clearly "gets" the source material is self-evident, but if you needed more, look only to the DVD's liner notes--a booklet called "How To Start a Fight" and featuring snippets from bad reviews. Most of the writers in question clearly didn't understand the film and were reviewing it as though it were a straight film rather than the satire it is--but the fact that most DVDs of a film this divisive would choose to ignore or silence their critics and Fincher decided instead to spotlight them is all you need.

I want to add that the "twist" ending of the film was blown for me by some douchebaggy Blockbuster Video employee back when the film was still in theaters. I didn't see it for a while after that, worried that it would ruin the moviegoing experience--but it only enhanced it.

Many people find the way the film ties itself together to be somewhat contrived and it is definitely a part of a movement in cinema that intends to play with the viewer’s expectations out of traditional cinema. It doesn’t totally come across as a revolutionary or unique move, but it is part of the original novel and works perfectly within the themes of the film. But I find that too many people are focusing on these more cinematic aspects of the film, when, in a film like this, the thematic material of the film is far more interesting. It is rare that a novel (with assistance from it’s film adaptation, in this case) has such a huge impact on the culture that spawned it. Fight Club is one of the most influential novels of recent decades. The novel/film has affected so much more than sales and a tie in adaptation. It is an edgy film, and scathing social satire, on a level that surpasses what generally spurs a clichéd phrase like “social satire.” The film isn’t perfect, and it does border on the slightly contrived at times, but in the end it doesn’t really matter, what matters is that it is an affective film that is intriguing beyond it’s runtime.

First rule about Fight Club is you dont review Fight Club! Ahhh screw it! Im gonna review it. This movie was one of those "Twist" films before everyone started making them. Ok Spoiler Alert!!.. Brad Pitts character is Ed Nortons character (same person) Wowza!! Ok now that I spoiled everything.. You should still watch this movie. Its got soem great scenes in it and Ed Norton is pure genuis. Brad Pitts isnt half bad either. I find it odd that women also like this movie.. hey wait.. did I mention Brad Pitt is in the film? Oh yea.. maybe thats why. The only bad thing I can say about this film is there isnt enough fighting.

Fight Club is like watching porno -- only better. I don't care what kind of movie genres you tend to watch. I don't care if you don't like Brad Pitt or even if you hate Edward Norton (two emotions towards two actors that I can't really see anybody having) or if you don't approve of violence, sexual content, foul language -- I DON'T CARE. You will enjoy Fight Club just like everybody else. This movie was made for the lowly civil servants who never get to speak their mind. This movie is for all the people who have trouble falling asleep at night. This movie is for anybody who doesn't really have friends. This movie is for people who like to root for the villain, who like to root for the hero, who like to root for the underdog and for those that feel indifferent all together. This movie is all of this and more. I could give you reasons as to why but that would only take away from the experience you are about to have. Watch this movie or forever regret it.

Have I been asleep?

Okay, I am NOT talking about this movie.

I shall talk about something else. How about: being the leader of a terrorist organization responsible for bad things happening all over the United States, cells created by a "soap" company operating out of a derelict house, where a cadre of men in black are plotting to undo corporate America, capitalism, and undermine soap production, I guess.

This movie is a psychotic's paean to antidisestablishmentarianism. I am further not talking about getting so beat up that your face has to be reassembled, so if you're squeamish, for crying out loud, rent or buy Sleepless in Seattle, where the only thing that gets beat up is some poor apple peel, and it's an inanimate object. These are faces getting smushed in.

This movie is also about schizophrenia, and the absolute unlikelihood of having someone who looks like Brad Pitt being the doppelganger for Edward Norton. I guess if you look like Edward Norton, you might want your Mr. Hyde to look like Brad Pitt, with washboard abs leading to a v-cut into his obliques. I don't know what what I just wrote means, but hot damn, Brad Pitt looks good.

Brad Pitt plays the meanest imaginary friend you've ever seen, and Ed Norton, who was recently so wonderfully sensitive in "The Illusionist", plays a complete delusional dickhead. Helena Bonham Carter is surprising in this as a woman who gets off on attending support groups for prostate cancer victims, where she meets Ed's character, who is so messed up, he can't sleep until he finds a way to cry. Attending prostate cancer victim meetings is only step one on his descent into madness. Now before you get the wrong idea and wonder what the hell is this movie about, believe me when I say, this is a great movie, very dark and twisted, and funny as hell.

I didn't talk about this movie, not one single word, and if you watch it, you won't be permitted to talk about it either. This is horror, it's commentary on what's wrong with western society, it's about life that goes wrong, it's almost about love but not quite, and it's about losing your mind in the face of the insanity that life sometimes looks like. It's the kind of movie that makes you wonder how the rest of us who aren't schizophrenic endure this madness.

I see that a lot of people have been broken the first rule of Fight Club. They talked about it. This when YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB! Well I can understand why they have since this was a very thought provoking and entertaining movie. Edward Norton is 'Jack' or the narrator. Not sure since we never really hear his name. He has incredible difficulty sleeping and then becomes addicted to various support groups.

During one of his business trips he meets Tyler Durden who changes his life in a dramatic way. Tyler teaches Jack all about making soap, how to make explosives, and self destruction. They also create a new self help group called Fight Club where men pummel the crap out of each other in order to feel alive.

Director David Fincher brought his dark style of film making to Chuck Palahniuk's dark story. Come to think of it has David Fincher *ever* made a happy cheery movie? Just can't see him doing that.

In Fight Club we're shown a world in which merely existing is being part of a monotonous cycle of working a crappy job to buy things we don't really need to fill apartments that are not much more than a concrete cubicle in a concrete shoe box.

Jack thinks he has broken out of that cycle by following Tyler into his own vision of the world. The irony is that by doing so Jack actually helps create another world of drones who unquestioningly follow and carry out whatever their leaders tell them to.

Fight Club will have you taking a second look at what people think defines them as a person. Sure as hell isn't your newest Yin and Yang coffee table.

This film is one of the best book adaptations I've had the pleasure of watching. I just finished the book and I honestly have no complaints about what they did.

This film can be enjoyed in a large party setting where you aren't paying much attention. However, you will get so much more out of it if you watch it carefully and pay attention to the little details.

The film diverts from the book in many places, but only for the sake of getting the point across in moving pictures instead of a book.

Fight Club is a disturbing exploration of one man's mind as his mind slowly breaks down and his struggle to understand his new self. The movie has so many layers that multiple viewings are required. Every actor in this film gives 150% and you can tell. Every bit of it is perfect, and this is a must watch movie for anyone who says that they are a movie fan.

So if someone asks me what my favorite Brad Pitt movie is, I always reply "Fight Club." Not only is this one of his best acting pieces (12 Monkeys is prolly his finest), but he is looking his finest in Fight Club. Ouch!

The first time you see it, you may not get it. It is only after the second or third time that you can really get into the movie with a smirky, knowing appreciation of it. I think Palahnuik/Uhls and Fincher intended for this to be a story that gets better each time you see it.

"How much can you know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?"

Fight Club is based on the book by Chuck Palahniuk. It's a violent film exploring deep psychological issues. It truly is a film that does the book justice.

Edward Norton gives an amazing performance as traveling claims adjuster with insomnia. As the film progresses, we watch his personal life spiral out of control. And hold on to your seats for a surprise ending.

Brad Pitt, in my opinion, gives the one of the most significant performances of his career in this film. Tyler Durden is a wild, charismatic soap salesman. He embodies everything that Edward Norton's character (referred to as the narrator) wants to be.

If you don't mind violence and love twisted plots and characters, you're going to want to see this movie.
