This is a game we still play in the house with our children. But I first started play this when I was a kid, my great-great Grandmother would play this with me. It was so funny, because the rules are very simple, but depending on the day my great-great Grandmother would try to change up the rules so she would win, she was a avid card player her favorite game was Bridge & I think her & her friends changed up the rules on that too. Then when my children came along my great-great Grandmother played with them. Speaking of that the other day when I was going through photos I found a picture of her & my oldest daughter playing UNO. So for me there are many fond memories & a game that can be enjoyed by young & old.

This game is basically my childhood. It is an easy derivative of Crazy eights, easy for children to understand and grasp. Although its a great game for children (probably ages 5-6 and up) to play, its also a great game for family nights and even for adults. This is also a great game for theater kids who are bored backstage or a great way to entertain children. This also enhances young children's color matching skills as well as number matching skills. Definitely tons of fun for the entire family! While it may get out of control for some overhyper kids, this is definitely tons of fun!
Uno is a great game for the family to play together its easy and fun. We used to all sit around my step moms place and play this. Don't take any bathroom breaks because it's easy to pick up a few card and cheat! I have so memories of this game growing up and I am sure my little girl will too, my fiancee and I used to play it together often til he was caught cheating so I had to outlaw him from playing it anymore!
So much fun for the family, its a great way to spend quality time together!

We have at least five decks of Uno in my house right now and all of them are quite worn. This is a great game for kids and adults alike. If you ever played the card game Crazy 8's, it is pretty much the same. The object is to get rid of all of your cards by taking turns discarding. Your card must match the card facing up either by color or number. There are wild cards that you can use but if you can't make a match you have to pick up from the deck until you can. Be sure that you say UNO when you are down to one card or else you will have to pick up three more.
This is one of my favorite "card games" of all time. I learned how to play it in daycare when I was in the 3rd grade and remember being quite attached to it. For one, my parents were always working late and I would be stuck at daycare for hours, left listless, surrounded by cheap donated toys and stuffed animals that kept the other younger kids entertained. The daycare lady would feel sorry for me and so she'd sit and play Uno with me until my mom came to get me.
I loved it because none of the other kids "got" it, so getting to play it made me feel intellectually superior (ha!) and privileged. Eventually, I taught some of the other kids to play it and they got hooked too! Soon I had my own little Uno card club.
It's great because it's challenging enough yet also fun and simple. It teaches kids and adults alike strategy, numbers, and problem solving on-the-spot. Even at 27, I bring it with me camping or for picnics in the park. It's timeless!

I have played Uno for years. I have played it with friends, family and people I have just met. We would have a great time, everytime. It is a good way to have fun, spend quality time with people and be sociable. Uno is a classic game and it's nice that they came out with a deluxe version. I love that young kids all the way up to older people can understand how to play and enjoy it. It is easy to play, fun and actually entertaining. I catch myself yelling "Uno!" while playing other card games, which can be a little on the embarrassing side. It's okay, though. I really like this game.
Uno is a fantastic game for young and old! It is great for everything in between and for everyone to play together!
This game teaches so much.. colors, numbers, addition, terminology (reverse, skip etc....) while playing a terrific game and having fun at the same time.
Honestly I have never played with the Deluxe set, but the regular Uno game always is a great time and everyone laughs and has fun. You can play teams or individually.
So grab four people and try it.

The Mattel Uno Deluxe Card Game is the same original Uno but with more in it. This deluxe version comes with Uno cards, a pencil, and a scorecard! Uno is a game in which the player must get rid of his or her cards first, but do not forget to say Uno on your last card or you get penalized. It is so much fun with friends and family. It can play up from two to ten players or you can play as teams. This deluxe version comes with other gameplay ideas and the scorecard just makes it even more competitive! This game is so much fun. Get it!
