there are games that you play and you can put away for a while. Then there are games that you just can't put down because they are too much fun. This is one of those games. When I first started playing Prince of Persia: Sands of Time I was very impressed. the graphics of the game aren't amazing but everything else makes up for it.

Prince of Persia is a game where you solve puzzles and fight enemies. The catch is that you can turn back time if you make a mistake. the thing that makes this game iconic is because you can do so. If you messed up on a puzzle or accidentally fell down you could turn back time and do it all over again. Later on you would be able to get more abilities that will help you solve puzzles but this is the most important one.

the story of Prince of Persia was a pretty simple and clean cut one. Of course the next iterations of the game elaborated on the adventures of the Prince but this particular game had a story that was simple enough that you could understand but complicated enough that it gave leeway for more iterations and was appealing.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is almost perfect. I don't say that very often about video games, but honestly, the Prince's debut on the Playstation 2 (Gamecube and Xbox) is as close to perfection as any game has come in a long time. It seamlessly entertains great visuals, a tight but fluid combat system, a mesmerizing storyline that actually manages to create memorable and sympathetic characters amidst all the jumping and sword fighting, and of course, puzzles and obstacles that are amazing to navigate. You play as the Prince who finds himself trapped in his palace. Unfortunately, though, everyone has been turned into sand demons, and for some reason or another, the palace is rigged with all manner of booby traps, bottomless pits, and ridiculously lethal obstacles. Fortunately, though, you have the gift of the sands of time, an ability that allows you to rewind time after you screw up.

For any true gamer, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is a must have addition to your gaming library.

I really like this game! This is the only Prince of Persia I own and have experienced, but it definitely inspired me to seek out more.

The storyline is really intriguing, which is sort of important to me. It involves the unleashing of a curse which allows you to control time, a traitor sorcerer, and (of course) a princess. The setting is really awesome as well! The world of the game is in medieval Persia.

Game play allows you to reverse, accelerate, freeze, and slow time with the Sands of Time dagger. You play the Prince, who uses a long Persian sword and the dagger of time as weapons. He has some decent attack sequences, but the awe of the game is really in the environment.

You should play this game!

The first of the three Prince of Persia series that came out in the PS2. Before I played Sands of Time, I remember so well the DOS version of this game that came out decades ago. This game basically put the puzzle-solving platform genre to new heights, adding a reasonable amount of action and swordplay to the mix. Sands of Time also gives you the ability to turn back time when you make a fatal mistake such as falling in a cliff or failing to avoid the killing blow of the enemy. I loved this game the moment I played it. I even played it from start to finish within a number of hours.

I love this game. I have it because Craig wanted it. I like it but get a little dizzy with all the high jumps and funky angles they use in the game.

This is the first installment in the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time series.

At first I was a little skeptical that it would live up to its hype (especially since I was a fan of the old PC game). I was not disappointed. This game is awesome!

It is the first game I ever played that had a fighting system that truly allows you to fight groups of enemies all at once! It was liberating. I had always dreaded the group attack in games because your character could never respond to the controls quick enough to really fight 10-20 enemies at once. This game however is absolutely beautiful in the grace and fluidity of the fighting system. 10 enemies? 20 enemies? 30 enemies? No problem! You can chain your moves into a unique (and mobile) fighting style that has you literally running circles around your enemies!

And lets not forget about the story. It is really good. You play as the Prince as he struggles to undue a terrible magic curse by manipulating time.

This is another must have game for the PS2!
