Will Smith proves his acting chops in this movie, starring as a man who dreams big and has the guts to go after it. He and his wife live paycheck to paycheck supporting themselves and their son. She gets tired of his excuses with the money and takes off, leaving him with his son. It's a big risk, but he gives everything he can to get into a program with a long unpaid training program to be a stockbroker, as he feels that's what he needs to do to be happy.
It really makes you think about taking risks and what you would be willing to do to get what you want, and about having faith in yourself. He knew he could do it. He knew it would be a long haul, but worth it in the end. He lived on the streets with his son, literally, staying in homeless shelters when he could, and sleeping in the bus station when he couldn't. They both made such huge sacrifices, and in the end it was worth it, and it paid off. The even more amazing thing is that it's a true story.
