Whenever this movie is on TV, I always, always watch it. Why? I believe it's one of the greatest Pixar movies ever. I love computer-animated movies by Pixar and this one is just fun to watch. It makes the time fly by and it leaves you smiling and wanting to cook the night away! The music in this movie is so sensational and the music flows throughout the movie - it's so well done. One of the best (if not, the best) film of 2007 and a fun movie to watch with the entire family. 5 stars out of 5!

This film was a surprise to me. I didn't expect this film to be that good. Of course I was proven wrong. It wasn't that I was expecting that this movie would b a flop but I would never expect to be such a big success. Pixar has done it again with a great story line combined with great character development and comedy.

The movie is a great family film that describes a rat that dreams of being a cook. From the very beginning you feel for the rat and his dream and as he struggles through the world you find that he has a talent for cooking but can never realized because he is a rat.

The characters in the movie are really fun to watch and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

This movie is my most preferred Pixar film. Though it's based on a rat who seems to be able to talk and create great meals, the film is actually pretty darn good. I even convinced my gf to watch, and she also agrees that the film itself is very well made. The movie is about a rat who has dreamed of cooking becoming the world's best chef, however being a rat and all, his family has other plans for him. Remy, voiced by Patton Oswalt, finds himself in a peculiar situation when he's caught by a chef in the making. Once it becomes evident that Remy knows what he's doing, the movie jumps to a quick pace story about a rat and his chef buddy and the relationship between the two. Can Remy continue cooking even though his family believes that humans are horrible? Find out. This is a great film.

Want to know a secret? I think Pixar made a mistake here. See, they're supposed to make kids movies that adults can also enjoy, right?

Well, I'm sorry, but Ratatouille is an adults movie in animation form that kids can also like. The story is incredibly smart and the characters, even the rats, are more real than in some live action movies I've seen lately.

This was one of the best films of the year it came out (yikes. 2007? I forget) and not only in the animation category.

I LOVE food and I LOVE Pixar movies. This is one of the best. The storyline is cute and different, but I mostly love how this movie explains food. The psychedelic imagery when people are tasting things and how tastes combine. I feel that way when I eat delicious foods.

Although, not the most technically astounding film by Pixar, Ratatouille did a very good job of capturing my imagination and kept me interested throughout the story. It has an interesting take on the world from a rat's point of view. The adventure of a young rat from the French countryside who's love for fine cuisine leads him to Paris and a strange alliance with a restaurant trash boy. Good for the whole family.

I adore this movie, absolutely ADORE it!!! It's got food, it's got France, it's got Peter O'Toole ... what more do I need in life, other than to be in Paris eating the glorious ratatouille at a little table in Remy's cafe??? Just like with "Babe," another one of my all-time favorites, this movie is about finding and developing your true gifts and talents, despite societal conventions. I love to cook, and was amazed at the technical aspects of recreating onions, for example -- they aren't moist, as they would be if they were freshly cut, but are just past that point; the level of detail is extraordinary! And when Peter O'Toole tastes the famous dish and is instantly transported back to his childhood ... oh, it made me cry. Who hasn't had an experience like that, where a taste or a sight or an aroma brings us back to a different time, a cherished memory??? I could watch this movie endlessly, and never tire of it ....

Though perhaps not the best movie Pixar has ever made, Ratatouille still manages to hit all the right notes and do all the right things to make it a heart warming story that's perfect for kids and adults alike. The story of a young rat who wants to become a chef, the movie's overall message is that anyone can become anything that they choose. The animation is (as always) superb, the characters are very likable, the acting is great, and from beginning to end viewers will be spell bound by Pixar's commitment to creativity and quality.

Ratatouille may not stand up to other Pixar greats like WALL-E or Toy Story, but all the same it's still a magnificent movie that's well worth watching.

This movie is absoultley fantastic!

The Hallmark of a good movie is that the viewer gets invovled in the character lives and develops an emotional attatchment to the characters on the screen. Weather its a comedy, a Drama.. or in this case.. a CARTOON!

If you can make your audience FORGET that your actually watching cartoons, and see them for the characters that they really are!

THEN my friends, your REALLY doing your job.

This movie does JUSt that.. I dont feel like im watching a rat teach a chef to cook. I feel like im watching 2 friends trying to figure out a way to have a mutually beneficial relationship.

There are a couple of seens in the movie.. ( well one in pariticular).. that is so powerful.. i coudln't BELIVE that that type of emotion could be conveyed with animated characters..

but hey!!.. we're not here for that..

we're here.. bc this movie is charming, cute, fun to watch, a GREAT story, and a very VERY well liked an accurate Paris Back Drop.

6 stars across the board..

take anyone in your family to see / rent this.. and you will NOT be dissapointed.

and if you ARE!!. I WILL PESONALLY re fund you the price of your ticket or rental*

* Zia Ahmad will not pay or refund any amount of money to anyone for any reason.

Pixar's animated films never fail to entertain me. They may target younger viewers in general, but all age groups can enjoy films such as Ratatouille. Ratatouille is actually a delicacy, a "peasant dish" as mentioned in the last part of the film. The title is fitting since involves the word rat. This movie focuses on Remy, a rat with a passion for cooking. He is not you typical filthy rat, and in fact, he you can see him washing hands and observe god hygiene in the film. He avoids eating garbage, unlike his brother Emile, and the other rats in the colony, and that's probably why he's blue (symbolizing cleanliness I think). In order to become a chef, he collaborates with Linguini, a human, who is a terrible cook on his own. While secretly pulling Linguini's hair in order to control his body, Remy is able to cook and prepare sensational dishes. There were funny moments in this film, but not that enough to fully satisfy me. The graphics are great, so great that you can really appreciate the tiny rat hairs and other fine details. The rats were animated accurately down to the movement and behavior. Ratatouille is definitely a must-watch for kids and adults who are young at heart.

I was scared going to see this movie. A rat who cooks? EWWWWW. But I loved it! All our kids were rapt. There's a lot of funny stuff going on and a great plot to boot. It has a really nice story arc about the rat and the cook learning how to become chefs (anyone can cook is the mantra repeated here), and once you get over that a RAT is cooking (which happens early on), then you really buy into the whole thing. There's also a lot of nice detail about how a kitchen works (what each member of the line does) that my kids enjoyed. And it was against, basically, Chef Boyardee, which I am all for. We own this on DVD.

I've yet to see a Pixar movie that is bad, mediocre or even just a "cute movie". Everything they've done to date has been phenomenal or better. Ratatouille is absolutely no exception. From the obvious amazing animation to the story itself, this one belongs on your movie shelf in-between Finding Nemo and Cars. In my mind, it's already a classic, as are most movies created by Pixar. The wonderful thing about Pixar is I think they've figured out they can't create a good movie, no matter how innovative the animation without a great story. They create movies that our kids will love and we will love as well. I'm excited for their new project, WALL-E which is coming out this summer. I'm already saving a space for it in my video library! I love great movies for grownups, but Pixar has figured out we’re all just kids at heart!

I’m not much on kid’s films but this film really struck a chord with me. Pixar’s animation team continues to produce better and better quality animation. Remy’s journey through the sewer near the beginning of the film is one of the most beautiful pieces of digital animation I’ve ever seen. The story is solid, standard Brad Bird fare; it works for adults and kids (which isn’t really supposed to be praise, just evaluation of how the film works). It tends to veer away from the standard good vs. evil binaries of children’s films and begins to pose more difficulty questions of morality (though it is still posed as a black and white question at times). Overall it’s a film that’s worth seeing if this genre is your cup of tea, and worth the risk if it’s not. It’s still a film for kids, but it’s beautiful and well written (and best of all no Robin Williams or Eddie Murphy doing hokey voices).

In today's endless sea of bad CG movies, Ratatouille is a life raft. From the people that brought us CG classics like Toy Story, The Incredibles, etc. comes the tale of a rat with taste buds that match those of high end critics with the abilities that match those of top notch chefs. I wasn't expecting much from this movie seeing as how it's about a rat cooking. I tend to like movies that are more realistic, or, at the very least, plausible. However, Ratatouille has that classic cartoony element that seems to capture the hearts of kids and adults alike. The storyline and the graphics were both well made and the characters aren't completely goody-two-shoes either. These characters don't only have the idea of revenge, they act on it and in a big kind of way might I add you. However, seeing as how it is a movie mainly marketed towards kids and family's, everything works out in the end but I wasn't dissatisfied with its "everything works out in the end, life is a peach" outlook on life.

My pet rats, Ron and Harry, were purchased after I first saw this movie. Rats were never made more lovable and trustworthy before this movie. Remy is a Paris rat who just wants to be something great, he wants to be something other than his fellow rats; he doesn't fit in. So he ends up helping a screw-up wanna-be chef by making him into something great, and helping him get the girl. Remy becomes everything and more, getting his dream to be a chef and working in a real Paris restaurant.

This movie was the best Pixar film I have ever seen. It's endearing, while making you think a little harder about what it is we're supposed to be in life. it has great morals, and is a fun family film. I highly recommend it.

This is a story about a rat who just doesn't fit in with his colony of fellow rats. He is special... unique... different. He can cook. And not just any kind of cooking, no, he has a passion for flavors and a gift for combining them. After a mishap mission with his brother rat, he ends up alone in the kitchen of a restaurant in Paris. But not just any restaurant, Gustauo's (spelling?) the best restaurant in Paris! He ends up having his dream come true, becoming a chef! But that's not where the story ends - that is only the beginning!

This is such a great movie! Please rent it!

The first thing I said to my husband after we watched this movie (we were with our two kids!) was, "Pixar did it again!"

Many of today's kids' movies have too much adult content: violence, sexual innuendos, and adult humor, so that the parents who are dragged to see the movies will get something out of it as well as their kids. Ratatouille, however, is just a good, clean flick that is appropriate for all ages. (Though I do know some kids who got scared a couple of times and had nightmares.)

It's funny that a good script and lovable characters can even make you like rats, not the kind of character you would ever relate to or really even sympathize for. But the underdog-wins theme that prevails just makes everyone who watches this movie feel good.

I do have to point out that the classic mom-is-dead-kid-on-own Disney theme got pushed into this movie as well. I was happy for Pixar when Disney bought them out, but sad that now even Pixar is subjected to Diseny's warped legacy.

THIS MOVIE IS THE BEST MOVIE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...CLASSIC disney moviee!! it is greattt. The movie is really really funny. It is an inspiring story about a young rat named Remy who dreams of being the best chef in France. However, he must overcome the many difficulties because he is a rat... and well, rats arent usually allowed in kitchens =p Rats are despised in the kitchens and are thought of as pests. He finds a human companion, Linguini, who is like an intern-chef. He is not a great but with the help of Remy, he becomes an awesome chef, restoring the name of a once famous restaurant. you will have to watch it to know how the pair accomplishes this..and all the troubles they get into!! Overall, this movie is GREATTT =D

I went into this movie with very low expectations, and I left with a smile on my face.

The storyline sounded extremely stupid to me. Are you seriously going to have a rat chef in a movie that makes food for people in a nice restaurant?

The way the film was made was genius, they turned a seemingly stupid idea and created something that can really captivate an audience. I sat down to watch this movie and found myself engrossed in the storyline, I got caught up in the character interaction, and my mood changed with the highs and lows of the movie. Not too many movies can do that, let alone a movie that is classified as a "childrens film"

go watch Ratitouille, it just might warm your heart.

This is honestly one of the greatest Pixar movies that I have saw so far. I really like the content of the movie and how nicely it was displayed to us. The reason that I enjoy watching this movie is that first off it is very funny, and exciting. I also enjoy the great features in this movie, and most importantly the movie was just great by itself. The only thing that I did not like is the fact that there were rats displayed in the kitchen, which kind of grossed me out. Overall this movie was great and I still recommend it to everyone.
