RIM BlackBerry® Curve™ 8330 Cell Phone

I have this phone and when I first got it I really loved it taught it was the absolute best phone ever. Then once I really got into the phone adding all the apps that want to use my whole opinion of this phone quickly turned around. The Blackberry Curve has the capabilities to do a lot of things that the phone just cannot actually handle efficiently. This is what I mean about efficiently if I go to use an app. and I see and hour glass or the phone just has me waiting its not being efficient.
- trying to browse on the net I'm left looking at a BLACKBERRY logo for far to long before I can get online.
- facebook works well for me
- twitter is a nightmare checked it against my computer and a lot of the feeds don't come through
- google maps don't know how anyone could get around without using that feature works well when it works then you have to restart it because the feed stops working. things like reviewing traffic or getting directions.
- email works well if I complained about it I would just be knit picking

A buddy of mind has has traded his 8330 in for a different model Blackberry and it works like a dream. Its much faster and doesn't have all the problems that this one does. They even changed the tracking ball which feels better than this one.

I think my friend has this blackberry, if not then it's my aunt. Sidekicks use to be the thing but blackberries are battling back. My friend has unlimited text with her blackberry. The word unlimited brings a smile to my face. This blackberry is real cool, calm, and collect. The buttons are not too big or too small, neither is the screen. It's real nice and organize for a phone. The applications are all planted neatly and proper. The pictures and videos are at a good quality. I love aim, the aim is cool but not like a sidekick aim but blackberries are not really made for aim.

I just bought one of these phones last week, and so far I'm loving it.

Now I can check my email, IM my friends, update my Twitter status, and access the Internet all from my phone. The still camera and video camera are very handy, as well. I'd give it five stars, except that it isn't equipped with wifi just yet (although the radio network is fairly speedy) and some of the features like the address book and speaker phone require a few too many steps. I've still yet to figure out how to set it to speaker with one hand while driving.

Still, it's a wonderful device and with my soon to be purchased Bluetooth I should be able to fix the hands free issue. I've yet to explore all of the cool features, like the ability to hook it up to my car stereo and download tv shows.

Edited: Now that I've had the phone a little longer, there is one other "feature" that I'm finding really annoying. If the battery drains all the way down, you can't operate the phone even when plugged in. It can take a good 15 minutes to have enough power to operate the radio again and make phone calls. Apparently, this is common to Blackberries and isn't just an issue with the 8330. Still, I was rudely awakened to this in the middle of a conference call and had to take a 20 minute break. Not cool. So if you do purchase a Blackberry, always keep it charged.

This cellphone is great! It's like a mini computer that fits in my palm... I may seem lame to you - but I've never even played with a blackberry/smartphone before and I don't think I could ever go back...the saying must be true...
Once you go black(berry)...you never go back(berry?)...
The internet pages load quickly and I can see them clearly.
The cam takes great pics and has a flash.
There are applications you can download to check your email, instant message, check bank balances, gps, etc...
The calendar functions awesome.
I can put in all my friends and families address and bdays, etc...
I love it.... LOVE IT!!!
