This came out of the penguin era movie, and similar to Happy Feet, is an animated feature. Instead of being in cold weather as we would expect, though, these penguins are surfing. It portrays itself as a documentary, or reality TV series, about teenaged Cody (voiced by Shia LaBeouf), who lives in Antarctica, and leaves for a big surfing contest. Once there he finds his hero in the surfing world didn't really die, but faked his own death, and it changes Cody's focus.
Surf's Up was surprisingly a lot of fun, perhaps even more than Happy Feet, or at least a close second. It featured fun music such as The Romantics and Green Day, For an animated featured, it was oddly not always predictable. And at times, it's almost easy to forget that it's animated.
